A little about us...

The Dough Roller Restaurant on 3rd Street and the Boardwalk was founded in 1980 by the Gibbs Family. During the summer of 1962 and 1963, Bill Gibbs, an Ocean City resident, was a beach boy for the Breakers Hotel on 3rd Street and the Boardwalk. It was during those months on the beach that he envisioned a restaurant in front of the Breakers Hotel. The dream became a reality when the Gibbs family bought the Hotel and renovated the boardwalk porch into a restauarant.

Since then, the Gibbs Family has expanded the business. They have added Dough Roller Restaurants locations up and down the beach. The Dough Roller Restaurant at South Division Street and the Boardwalk is located across from the Inlet parking lot. It is the only Dough Roller Restaurant at which you can get 'Boardwalk Famous' Dayton's Fried Chicken and Soft Shell Crabs. The Dough Roller Restaurants at 41st Street and 70th Street, both on Coastal Highway, offer Rita's Italian Ice immediately next to each restaurant.

Take in the beach and salt air while enjoying the best dining experience on the beach. Whether you join us for an early breakfast (served at our 3rd, 41st and 70th Street locations) featuring large, overstuffed omelets paired with the best pancakes on the beach, lunch with the best old fashioned, hand tossed pizza, or for our excellent Italian dinners, you are sure to have a wonderful time.
